The Hypocritical Mrs Clinton
I don’t really like commenting on politicians, as I see them as liars, opportunists and worse. But sometimes you read something and it just makes your hair stand on end.
Mrs Clinton’s recent Middle East jaunt has brought plenty of airtime and online publicity, as she played her role in ramping up the rhetoric against Iran (remember the lead up to the Iraq war anybody?).
Today she was accusing Iran of becoming a military dictatorship. Oh my! To think of it!
No mention of the military dictatorship that was Pakistan, which the USA happily supported, nor any mention of Egypt, another dictatorship. Both US allies.
Then she was fulminating from her sojourn in Saudi Arabia – a wonderful democracy if ever there was one! Apparently, the Saudi Morality Police were out in full force on Valentines Day – trying to stop the sale of Valentine’s cards! And let’s not talk about the chopping off of hands for a robbery conviction.
I’m afraid all this Iran phobia doesn’t wash at all. America is deep up to its armpits in unsavoury connections with less than democratic regimes. And ranting about a country that has not started an aggressive war for as long as I can remember, while cuddling up to notoriously nasty regimes, smells of hypocrisy to me.
Trying to convince the American populace to be frightened must be a hell of a job. Once they were gonna be nuked by the Russians and now all they have left are a rag-tag bunch hiding out in the mountains and of course Iran. Come on, a little less talking and a little more counting.
Well, I am not surprised. Right after the inauguration, the Obumer clan was given the U.S. play book, and have found out that all of the bullshit that was said to the American public to get elected will not fly with the Washington elete (POWER BROKERS). The whole cabinet has no choice but to get in lockstep with their handlers so that the Bush era agenda of world domination through democratizing the globe can be carried out.

I wholeheartedly agree and support David’s comments on Mrs, Clinto. If there was one woman hypocrite she fits the bil as if made for her. Come on, Mrs. Ex-President look at your own country’s glaring sins against humanity in the war of aggression on Iraq because the Devil Bush wanted Iraq for its oil. You can fool some people some of the time but not all people all the time.
Iran is not a military dictatorship. It is a Constitutional Islamic Republic. And that is completely unimportant in terms of the threat it poses to the rest of the world. Iran may not send tanks blazing across the borders of Iraq, Pakistan, or Afghanistan, but it most certainly engages in offensive warfare and international terrorism. And in case you haven’t noticed, the top people are always talking about the coming of the Mahdi (i.e., the coming Apocalypse), and how they would totally win a nuclear war against Israel (oh, but no, our nuclear program is completely 100% peaceful!). They are sending missiles into outer space just because they want to be the first islamic nation to go to the moon, nothing to do with delivering nukes to anywhere on earth.
Andre, I’m afraid I see potential threats to this world coming from entirely different places than you do. I fail to see how people can fall for the government propaganda that has surrounded the Iran issue. Even if they were to develop a nuclear bomb, I can assure you the Iranians are rational enough to consider the implications of firing off their single bomb to Israel. They would be obliterated in return.
As to the coming of the Mahdi. This is just the same sort of nonsense spouted by fundamentalist Christians in the USA, who are urging a war with Iran in order to speed up the second coming of Christ.
I cannot see any logic in demonising Iran. It makes no sense at all – other than the fact that Iran won’t comply with the wishes of the West.
Except it’s the president of Iran that talks about the Mahdi, not “some guy in a church that voted for Bush”. The islamic supremacists in Iran are certainly not the only threat to this world, but they are a very serious threat. They are one of those things that is not self-correcting, that you can’t just hide from by going offshore, that must be actually dealt with by somebody (and I don’t much care who). To tell you the truth, if they were more powerful and could actually straightforwardly conquer the West, I might not care that much, I could just get myself my four wives and a harem full of slavegirls. I despise what the West has turned into, and the people of the West, about as much as I despise Islam and muslims. But they can’t. Their only option is: destroy and spread chaos until God comes to the rescue. And they are doing, and will continue to do this, until they are stopped. Economics will stop socialists (kinda), but it will not stop doomsday cultists with nukes.
Fundamentalists, whether of Islamic, Jewish or Christian persuasion, are never the majority. They can only ever be the minority. And as such, I cannot see any reason to rationally fear the spread of fundamentalist Islam. The global trends are against it. There is too much interconnection in the world and young people are increasingly identifying with a global culture.
In places like Iran there are a growing number of young people who seek more personal freedoms and over time such a country (if left alone) is more likely to transform itself into a more benign society.
My take on this is that the so-called “war on terror” actually feeds into fundamentalism by radicalising Muslims. For don’t forget, Islam has been here a long time, and the vast majority of Muslims are not inclined to want to wage any sort of war. I’m more inclined to see Islam moving in the same direction as Christianity has over time – away from dogmatic belief and more into a secularised version – like modern day Turkey.
But the big issue is this: as long as we believe we are in dire danger from Muslims, then we are tempted to let populist politicians willingly strip us of our freedoms, for the sake of security. And to be honest, I fear that loss of freedom far more that Muslims.
I always knew the clinton’swere in bed with the jews. Now their daughter has married into a wholly jewish family. Nothing more than an attraction to wealth, the same thing that attracted so many to convert to judaism throughout the centuries.
Problem is in the way they got that wealth. They stole our European ancestor’s lands, lives, and heritage, replacing it – under the terrorizing horror and penalty of death inflicted at the hands of the Roman Empire’s legions once they got into the empire through the dumbass Constantine I – with theirs, in the form of the bible.

It took thousands of years to force christianity upon our Gentile ancestors, but they did it. And now, as we turn the other cheek and give the shirts off our backs – as they taught us – we head for a fate not unlike the Palestinians. Want to know what they think of us Gentiles? Look at Palestine and see what they do to them on Youtube or elsewhere. They’re Gentiles just like us. But don’t look to sources in the US for truth from our media. They own it.
